The advantage of being in the Sixth Form at BICS is spending time with a group of like-minded people where outstanding success is respected and encouraged; all levels of talent are effectively supported. Most of our Sixth Formers are expected to go on to university. The A Level qualification is highly esteemed as a standard of excellence, and will enable you to enter the best universities in Europe and in the world.
Does Bics offer counselling and careers advice?
The small class sizes in the Sixth Form enable our dedicated teachers to follow every student individually giving advice about potential career choices and further studies.
Will Brexit have an impact on the A Level Curriculum?
Here is the reply of Cambridge:
To date we have only received one query from our centres relating to recognition of our qualifications in Europe post-Brexit. From our continuing work with European universities I can report that we have had no indication that the acceptance of Cambridge International A Levels for entry to undergraduate study will be an issue post-Brexit.
The key document governing recognition is the Lisbon Recognition Convention. The UK is a signatory to the Convention, and remains a signatory, post-Brexit. The Lisbon Recognition Convention was drafted by the Council of Europe which is an entirely separate body from the European Union. From our point of view the core issues and processes in the recognition of Cambridge qualifications are not affected by Brexit.
